There are so many oatmeal recipes out there-I’ve yet to see one with banana and carob. I’m hooked on this combo-I think I need a carobvention!! Try this recipe and let me know if it’s as delish a I think!

1 cup water (if you do not want a porridgy oatmeal use 3/4 cup)
1/4 cup rolled oats
2 tbsp. full fat plain yogurt
1/2 mashed banana
1/8 cup chopped yellow raisins
1/2 tsp. carob powder
pinch of cinnamon
1/4 tsp. flax seed and/or wheat germ

Bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan.

Add oats, raisins, carob, cinnamon, and flax and reduce to low heat.

Cook for about 5-10 minutes or until water is mostly evaporated and the mixture has thickened.

Take off heat and stir in yogurt and banana.

If you have any leftovers this recipe freezes well too! Just add some milk or water when reheating to get a smooth consistency.
